Skechers skateboarding division concepts. Shot by Lance Dawes, the client wanted something that not only showcased the product prominently but also focused on action. Skechers, known as The Comfort Technology Company, I came up with the tagline Comfort Proven speaking to the hallmark of the brand as well as the support and durability of the shoe.
Skechers partnered with Japanese fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto on a series of limited edition shoes. I came up with an inspired window display to support the collaboration which ran in all Skechers high profile doors across the nation.
Skechers needed new lightbox graphics for their domestic retail doors. With lifestyle imagery photographed in the streets of Los Angeles I came up with a layered urban aesthetic for their men’s spring streetwear line.
Catalogs are an important part of Skechers sales/marketing efforts, they are one of the main tactics used in sharing their upcoming lines with retailers. I came up with a rustic look to compliment the outdoor lifestyle photography for the Skechers Sport Casual 50 page fall catalog.
Boost Mobile presented the need for a solution to merchandising independent retail store display cabinets. The solution would allow the brand to own its space in the store and cut throught the competitions clutter. It also needed to be adaptable to fit any showcase across the nation with just a few simple tool. As designer on this project I came up with a themed graphics package that created an urban environment within the cabinet. This direction not only provided a functional and clutter free space but also a unique and own-able experience that played up the brands spirit. A grid system was created for the back of the shelf and wallpaper so it was easy for the sales reps to measure, cut and install with just a pair of scissors and tape.
The opportunity to pitch concepts for a Virgin Mobile visual identity refresh came to fruition. I pitched what I considered a more artistic and fashion forward approach for the brand. Playing up a bold use of hand painted textures and artistic sensibility through use of black & white photography. I also introduced a serif font which the brand had never used before. The devices were placed large and centered as if they were a piece of art on display. The overall vibe was intended to feel elevated, fun and unique for its category.
