I worked with Boost Mobile as Art Director on many lifestyle photoshoots. Shown here is a mixture of images taken in different locations all over the nation, ranging from California, NY, Texas and Mexico. With the help of great photographers like Gary Cropland, Jeremy & Claire Weiss, Scott Council and Michael Muller we were able to capture the brands personality by keeping the imagery original. Spotlighting the product in an interesting way and stay true to the aspirational essence of the brand.
I had the chance to work with Virgin Mobile as Art Director on many lifestyle photoshoots in both California and New York. Being part of a larger global brand it was inherent in its DNA to infuse unconventional lifestyle imagery in order to carry the brands legacy forward. Shooting with the likes of notable photographers such as Gary Copeland and Mark Andrew made that an easy task.
Boost Mobile sponsored Travis Pastrana during his tenure in NASCAR. Because his introduction to the oval circuit was not only a big deal for Travis but also for the Boost brand, we wanted to do a special photoshoot to announce this partnership. As associate Art Director I helped facilitate the shoot and set the tone and direction which called for an industrial theme. Shot by Scott Council, the images were taken in and around the hangars at the decommissioned El Toro Airfare Base near Irvine, California. A fitting location for the aesthetic of the shoot as well as a large open area where Travis could have some fun getting loose in the car without any trouble.
Boost Mobile wanted to shoot longtime brand ambassador and MMA Champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The task was to get seamless images for promotional marketing purposes but more specifically environmental shots that would tell an aspirational story. As Art Director on this project I wanted to shoot Rampage in his natural environment in order to achieve a documentable moment in the day in the life of a professional MMA fighter. We hired Frank Hoppen to shoot Rampage at his personal training facility in a secrete undisclosed location somewhere in South Orange County, California where we able to achieve both scenarios under one roof.
Boost Mobile sponsored Luis Michel, Goalie for Chivas De Guadalajara, as part of a hispanic marketing campaign. The brand wanted to do a photoshoot to capture assets needed to showcase the new partnership. As Art Director on this project we wanted to capture Luis in his professional environment not only to showcase his ability as a experienced athlete but also his affiliation with such a popular football club. We chose celebrity photographer Scott Council to shoot this at the Chivas home field in the incredible Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Boost Mobile was getting ready to do their annual action sports team ad campaign and needed to do a photoshoot to supplement the series of ads. As associate Art Director and Design lead on this project I was responsible for facilitating the shoot as well as all aspects of design. We hired famed celebrity photographer Michael Muller for his signature portrait style and shot the athletes in a South Orange County photo studio. Unfortunately most of the images have been lost since the day of the shoot.
